Oxbridge Aspirations Programme
For many students, applying to Oxbridge can be an exciting yet daunting task. At Sambamba, we use our first-hand experience of studying at Cambridge and supporting students to secure Oxbridge places, to help students increase their chances of getting an Oxbridge offer.
We do this through our 10-month programme between March and December comprised of:
An introductory talk for students (early March)
A Q&A session for students, parents and teachers (April)
A group workshop on selecting a college and course (May)
A workshop on writing a personal statement, with one-to-one feedback (June)
Admissions test preparation sessions (September – November)
Interview preparation sessions (November – December)
Critical thinking discussion sessions (Monthly)
By the end of our programme, students can expect to feel more confident about:
The process of applying to Oxbridge
What admissions tutors look for throughout the application process
Writing and submitting an authentic personal statement
Taking admissions tests and overcoming nerves
Showcasing their best attributes during the interviewing process
The combination of these factors is what increases their chances of acceptance.

Careers Programme
The labour market has changed dramatically and young adults now have access to numerous career options, ranging from school leaver apprenticeships to becoming an entrepreneur.
However, not all students have the same access to comprehensive careers education, information and guidance and we know through our experience of working with the state and independent sector in both the UK and internationally, that this can impact equality of opportunity and outcome.
We wanted to do something about this as we believe that every young person should be able to fulfil their full potential, regardless of their background and start in life.
At Sambamba, we deliver careers programmes made up of one-to-one career guidance sessions, and group career learning and development workshops.
Through our work, we help your students to:
Understand their core values and the role they play in their career decisions
Identify their strengths and ways to expand their skills
Explore the wide range of career options available to them, to expand their horizons
Take up opportunities provided by employers, such as insight sessions, work experience and other initiatives, to build their CV
Make more informed career choices, to increase future career satisfaction and progression
To discuss how we can work together to put the future of your students first
